The IS tank family (IS in Cyrillic "ИС", meaning the Joseph Stalin or Iosif Stalin in Cyrillic "Ио́сиф Ста́лин") was a series of heavy tanks developed as a successor to the KV-series by the Soviet Union duringWorld War II. It was named after Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. The heavy tank was designed with thick armour to counter the German 88 mm guns, and carried a main gun that was capable of defeating the German Tiger and Panther tanks. It was mainly a breakthrough tank, firing a heavy high-explosive shell that was useful against entrenchments and bunkers. The IS-2 was put into service in April 1944, and was used as a spearhead in the Battle of Berlin by the Red Army in the final stage of the war.

My Comment:

IS Tank was a main mass produce tank designed to take out Tiger and Panthers.

It has a same firepower as the T-34-85 D-5T.

Cons : Fuel Tanks are located to the front of the lower glacis hull, Fuel Tanks located on the rear side

causing fire like it was a forest fire, Driver on the front driver compartment dies first.

IS-2 Was a real deal of its powerful 122mm D-25T Cannon. It can knock out so many tanks with one 

hit that was designed to smash on fortress.

Cons : When it comes to fear factor of this tank, They most likely to destroy it first. Same Chassis on

Pros : The Front Hull on the slope has managed to save many lives.

Cons : Smarter opponent managed to wreck the front hull on the Gap located on the turret

ring.

Cons : Fuel Tank still can burned it easily, Ammo Stowage on the side turret Destroys easily due to low as 100mm on side turret, 4 Crews , Still uses the same 122mm D-25T.
